WOW! I am so glad I came across these shoes. It has been difficult for me to shop for appropriate work shoes in the small town I live in so I have been buying the same ugly, black, Croc-like clogs from Walmart for over a year now.As a casual dinning server I am on my feet all day and adding that it is at a seafood restaurant where butter is plentiful, and often times all over the floor by the end of our guests meals, I can say the grip is very good and the shoes are comfortable.I try to replace my shoes every three months or so as needed (that seemed to be when the Walmart clogs seems to lose their "springiness" to them and made it harder on my legs and back) but I will definitely buy these again! Not only are they more comfortable to wear than my last shoes, they are just as easy to clean (I just toss them into the washing machine/air dry once every couple of weeks so they don't get smelly) and they are more stylish than those ugly clog things. If you need extra arch support I am sure it is nearly always better to get shoe inserts to accommodate, but as far as inexpensive and slip resistant shoes go I consider these top notch!Almost perfect. I am so so sad these didn't work out. It's like they took the perfect shoe and added a knife to stab you in the Achilles tendon. They are wide enough at the forefoot, which is awesome and unusual. They have the cute style of Chuck Taylors, but with a comfortable sole and wider shape. Great black color, with a non-slip silent walk. But, the canvas at the back is raised and feels very sharp and hard. It really stabs me in the Achilles. :( Returned for refund. The shoes are true to size and comfortable for hours of serving tables. I needed them for work and love the canvas vs the rubber looking shoes. Only issue is the rubber around the bottom of the shoe, not the toe part came off after a couple months, I super glued them back and and so far so good.but withing a few months I had already walked holes in them? I have to wear non-slips at work but I hate how most look, so these were amazing. However they didn't hold up well at all and I expected must longer use out of them. Within 5 months both soles had holes in them so that water or liquids on the ground soaked straight through to my socks. Disappointing.I got these for my daughter's 1st job. She got a job in a restaurant, so has to have slip resistance. She says she hasnt had any slipping since she started wearing these. But they do hurt her feet a little. So we r going to get some diff. Insoles to put inside them. Other than that they look great & do the job! They fit great and have really good tread to them. I work in a sports bar and the floor is 100% greasy food. The only downside is the back comes up a little too high and cut the back of my heel. i just trimmed it down a tiny bit and now have 0 problems. They're are great work shoes! they could definitely benefit from some insoles and are not as skid resistant as they advertise, shoes for crews has the non-slip formula down, but these are still good shoes and I don't feel as slidey as I did in my non skid resistant shoes. They could be a little more comfortable, and I can see where some people might have trouble with their heels being rubbed.Decent slip resistance. But I have one reliable pair that I continue to buy for slip resistance. And this is not them. The ones I get are Skechers they slip on and are very comfortable.
