Good fit, maybe 1/4 size small, but keeping them. Was worried about traction switching from Sorel Caribou that put a lot of sole in contact with the ground. Took a 1 mile walk with the dog last night in snow over ice conditions. No slipping. On the same walk I slip in Cabelas Snow Runners but not in my Sorels. These boots are easy on and off using handles to pull on over jeans and heel nub to kick off. I will couple these with my uninsulated Xtratuf pull on boots and retire the Sorels and Cabelas. Happy customer. I’ll add that my kid has been wearing bogs forever and they are the bomb for children.I am a woman with wide feet and wide calves, and after trying out almost every other winter boot on the market - these are finally what I settled on.1) These are 17" calves, so for those of you with wider calves who can't wear women's bogs - these will do you just fine. I wear 18-20" fashion wide-calf boots, but this stretchy 17" opening is just fine. I may even be able to tuck skinny jeans in.2) I normally would wear a men's size 7 (women's 9) in winter boots, but I tried these on at the store before purchasing, and a men's 8 was the only way to accommodate winter socks... so I suggest ordering a size up.3) These boots will be plenty warm if you are moving around- these aren't made for sitting still in cold weather. I wear them on my walk to and from the parking lot at work, wear them around running errands in the yucky weather... feet stay nice and toasty in these conditions.4) These boots were purchases for "urban winters". I live in Michigan, and it snows a lot. If I never left the country-areas, I would want cute light colored ski boots for fresh powder. Instead, I drive into an urban area for work everyday. There, it may have snowed a foot, but I don't have fresh white powder - I have inches deep grey/black slush speckled with unnaturally blue road salt to trudge through. These boots are perfect for that. They are waterproof, which is a must. They are black and don't stain... also helpful.Cons - These are only just wide enough for my wide feet. I wish they were even wider. I wear minimalist shoes during the summer months, and it feels bad to have the shoe encroaching on my foot - but I am also pretty spoiled by minimalist footwear. Also, I wish they made the women's boots in wide-calf and wide-foot, then I could buy cute colors and the toe area wouldn't be so clunky feeling. I have tried the women's version, and it has much sleeker styling.I’ve purchased the tall classic Bogs boots w/ handles forever! My son started wearing them when I noticed how many of these brand boots were lined up outside his elementary classroom for the kids (boots for when they go out for recess here in Alaska). They must know something I don’t. I went home and searched them on Amazon of course and read up. When I saw they were good for -40 degrees, waterproof, sealed, handles, etc. i understood why. After that, it’s all my 3 boys wore growing up here. Playing all the time in the rain, mud, and snow. My husband, that doesn't like to spend money, would never let me get him any. Fast forward to now: When my husband wore our grown-up son’s boots one day in a crawlspace flooding emergency, he was hooked. He kept stealing our sons when he thought he wouldn't need them that day. So for Father’s Day we all agreed to get him his own pair. He is extremely happy. I couldn’t tell you how they fit other than they fit him perfectly And I’m sure he’ll never go back (although we may need to buy the future new pair and pry the old ones off because “They’re still good”). Argggh! Men!I have wide feet and these fit better and more comfortable than the 2 pairs of muck boots I own. Would buy againI have somewhat short but wide feet. Depending on the shoe, I can wear a 7E to an 8.5D, just depends on the type of shoe, manufacturer and type of sox. When I first got these, I had on a pair of very thick socks that I normally wear with my lace up boots. I sat around and walked around inside with them and started thinking they were too small, primarily around the instep/arch, even though they felt a little loose in the heel.Over the next week, I kept trying them on inside the house with different socks, sometimes no socks. At first, with thinner socks or no sox, I was thinking too big (yeah, a conundrum). After about a week though, I decided to keep them. I'd have preferred a 7.5 (instead of the size 8) but that wasn't an option. I've since found, after breaking in the foot bed I suppose, that I can wear almost the thickest socks I have or go bare-foot and still be comfortable. Part of that is always tucking in the pants or sweats (early morning dog walks). The uppers allow ample room to tuck in the trouser legs. They still seem a little loose in the heel, but that may just be because they are boots, not shoes. I might try at some point adding some heel build-outs, maybe. The toe-box is IMHO, perfect. Hate having my toes cramped and with wide feet, thta's often the case. Not with the Bogs. One thing I can say, they keep my feets toasty on cold days...I walk the dog in the morning, freezing or below, with no socks on. My hands are cold, my feet are nice and comfy. And on warmer, wet days, I'm comfortable as well. Haven't had any near zero temps or deep snow yet, but I'm thinking these will stand up just fine.Solid boot for the winterWATERPROOF! it really works. Love the handles to pull on. Another good thought...the nubs on the heels to kick them off. Worth every pennyFast delivery and boots feel good quality. Easy to slip on and comfortable for dog walking along forest tracks. Quick delivery.Super-comfy, fit well and extremely non-slip. It'd be great if they were a bit higher because the cut-out 'handles' really make these more like ankle boots in terms of puddle depth you can stand in!Tight on the toes and slack on the heel, so had to return them. Shame because they looked good quality.Very comfortabletop quality
